Happy Holidays
The Holiday Season is among us! Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and many in between. Some people like to watch a Hallmark Movie Marathon... I'd love to read a Proser Story Marathon! Write any kind of holiday story about any holiday from Valentine's Day to Halloween, but you'll get bonus points if the holiday takes place anywhere from late November to early January (the "traditional" Holiday Season). But, who knows? Even a lesser-known holiday might win- maybe even one that only exists in your character's universe! Be creative! (limit 2000 words- I'd like to be able to read them all) I want to see stories from all sorts of time periods, from cavemen to space men. I want to see different walks of life. The old and the young. The rich and the poor. I want a variety. Be sure to tag me (@LexiCon)! I enjoy reading these. Everyone's a winner, but the ones I really like will get juice, and my favorite will be crowned champ! Thanks for reading/participating! God bless you all and Happy Holidays! <3

Eid

On Eid Day, we celebrate. We celebrate the end of the days of fasting, the end of hard times and the beginning of happy ones. We stuff each other's mouths with sweetmeats of all shapes, sizes and colors and laugh and rejoice as normal life resumes once again. We eat to our heart's content and don our best most blingy clothes to show off our joy. The men wear perfume and visit the mosques early in the morning to offer prayers. The women prepare noodles floating in sweetened milk with chopped almonds, dates and soft raisins infused with fragrant kewra and fresh warm chickpea salad with tangy tamarind dressing. Children run around in excitement holding up their little wallets to gather money from people as gifts. It is a wonderful occasion where people come together and spread love and happiness and happens to be one of my most favorite and desperately awaited holidays of the year.
