$50 prize. What does it mean to be a good writer? Does good writing even matter, or have Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok etc. turned us into mindless, unsophisticated zombies who no longer care for grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, or creativity?
$50 to the author of whichever post I find most insightful.

“Good Writing”

A ‘good writer’ is all based on opinion. The definition of writing is a sequence of letters, words, or symbols marked on paper or some other surface meaning it is solely up to you to decide wether you think it is good or bad, take writing a certain genre for example their are people who dislike this certain genre meaning there can be two outcomes, one they automatically hate/dislike it because they don’t like the genre or they feel indifferent about it. One reader could be convinced that one writer is amazing, brilliant,or a genius the list could go on however that said writer has comma error, no periods where they should be, and misspelled words, does that mean the reader loves the said writer any less no the reason is the reader didn’t fall in love with the writer’s ‘correct literature’ they fell in love with the writer’s way of words, the writer's originality and creativity, and lastly the way the book/story hooks the reader in and makes them want to read more. In conclusion has certain social media turned us into mindless, unsophisticated zombies who no longer care for grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, or creativity? No it simply means people have opinions, personal taste, and also, beliefs and judgement that their is such thing as “good writing” and “bad writing” and creativity throughout writers, it doesn’t mean that they are right, because there is no right or wrong answer just different viewpoints.
