doves

parched grass

scattered

the wasteland

cut wires

monsters

of plastic

and metal

dying

oblivion

insanity

there's

fire

dancing

on

the hills

a frantic

waltz

i reach my hand

out across

the void

crushed

spilling

forced smiles

promises
