They say America is all for the people. Her land awaiting our stone cold feet. 

They say America is for the people. Then why do we have citizens screaming at officials?

They say America is for the people. Then why can't everyone afford an education?

They say America is for the people. Then why is it so fucking hard to get a job, if you couldn't afford college?

They say America is for the people. Then why are we fighting unnecessary wars?

They say America is for the people. Then why do ordinary citizens get shot everyday?

They say America is for the people. They say America is the land of the free. But what people say cannot be trusted, for it is just talk. Talk of hope to help us up, only to send us farther down the pit then last time. They say America is for the people.
