Blossoming Stargazer

You got my attention quickly

My heart started to plant a seed

With your name on it

It slowly bloomed over time

I believe you saw the beauty

Blooming within my vine growing ribcage

You got scared with your feelings

Saw your roots reaching for mine

So you stopped your flower from blooming

Petals started to deteriorate one by one

I tried to use my love to pollinate yours

But...

You pushed me away into the shade

My petals cried out for you

Slowly realizing...

My stalled bloom couldn’t thrive

If I kept reaching for you

When you didn’t want to bloom together

Crying tears to water myself

I found a little light

My petals started to grow slowly again

Once your thorns cut me loose

I bloomed into a beautiful Stargazer
