Challenge of the Week CCVI
You've found yourself standing at the gates of Hell, and you're given a typewriter and one page waiting in it. You have one short poem to either keep you out, or shove you in.
LKM71

The Truth Shall Make You Free . . .

Who am I? Who have I been?

The answer to determine if I am out or I am in!

No room for a lie, I have to be true.

I sit at the typewriter pondering . . . who am I? Who?

Sulphurous flames lick at my feet from below.

The sweet scent of lilacs from heaven bestow.

I begin to sweat as I search my heart for the truth.

What has been steady in me now, since my youth?

I loved others. I loved with my whole heart.

But I am kind of an asshole. This is the truth I must impart!

I finish typing my truth, I fret that I have been too unkind.

But up to Heaven I float. leaving Hell behind!
