The Path Lay Trodden

Looming shadows dance before me

As I fade into the light

Vindicated past burning memory

Tried as I may, avoidance proved it's might

Death and embers dance around me

Sparking and crackling black flames

Nip at the heart of one true home

Winded disintegrated ashes, lions to tame

I let it fester, let it burn

Led it to my soul to feast

Another lesson yet have learned

Eyeless ghoul of man turned beast

Fear my ashes, fear thy thrown

Ruled by one, The One inside

Trodden lay the milestone

Trail of men, crosses held up high

Fading into thine eyes

Brings nothing but shadows

I hear all my cries

Bound by fear I can't escape my gallows

Empty here and shallow bare

I lay my heart out like a stone

Riddled by anger tough to tear

I smash apart what once was home

I am a blasphemer
