Conquered Hearts

I lay awake at night

Lost in a thought of domination.

But why conquer the world

When you can have a universe?

I keep your heart locked away

In the shadows where it will never be found.

And I keep mine hidden

In hopes you will never find it.

But I still bleed

Crimson blood swallowing societies

Because though I have not yet conquered the world

I have conquered your universe.
