Dishes clink, suds wash

away the remains of us

A moment ago

we used to be strangers, then

Laughter fills the small kitchen

cozy with comfort

We sit and sip together

pouring out our hearts

over steaming cups of tea

You said: ” We’re friends now,”

I guess it was that easy

You smile, and I laugh
