Loneliness; I can't explain

It's emptiness, sadness; aching pain

It's a desperate longing; a plea; a scream

It's ugly, and ragged; heavy and mean.

I would try to escape; I'd have no remorse,

but the loneliness traps me;

it slams and locks the doors.
