My Sun

The sun sheds warmth and light, kindles fires, dispels darkest night;

feeds the soul, kisses the skin, draws us out, pulls us in.

Where it burns too intensely, life withers and dies; too little presence grays the skies.

Thus is life with him to me: utter bliss and great agony.
