ADRENALINE FOR PAIN

I know you can't forget me

And that in my memory you remain

What is this game we are both playing?

Is it called: "adrenaline for pain?"

For we keep trying to move on

yet always sabotage each other

We keep pretending we aren't bothered

yet our scars are spilled all over

like the stains of blood on a white floor.

"Us" is everywhere we go, in my mind and in yours.

And I say I want to be away yet destiny keeps making us

Bump

And it all restarts

at that precise moment in which your eyes encounter mine

We switch roles between the cat and the mouse

Playing the game of hide and seek and run?

We keep blocking just to unblock

And for ignoring, we take turns.

What game are we playing?

The one of loosing each other

over and over again?

As if once wasn't rough enough,

Our goodbyes are always awful

and the saddest part

we are not having fun.

Because it isn't a game,

And we are not playing

We are just victims

of pain tattooed on our eyes

Broken since young,

having fortresses around our hearts

made of stiff stone

Since we are terrified of admitting

That we're irreversibly

In love.
