Skinny girl

The voices in my head tell me I should starve

They tell me only the skinny girls are pretty

Only the skinny girls have meaning

Only the skinny girls can smile

So I try to be a skinny girl

But I am not.

The voices in my head know I will never be a skinny girl

They laugh when I try on tiny tops

They laugh at the rolls poking out the sides

They laugh because they know, that I will never be a skinny girl
