The mysterious tablet.

Luna’s mouth fell open. Rose was right. This wasn’t like anything she’d seen in her history books. She gently lowered herself to the ground and leaned forward.

A small, rounded tablet stuck out of the earth. It wore a cloak of green moss that matched the stone's color. Luna squinted her eyes and turned her head, hoping it would help clear up some of the faded parts. But it didn’t help. Instead it brought forth a momentary headache, and a sense of defeat. However, the expression on the man’s face seemed untouched by nature, and remained clear and content.

“And look at this,” Rose whispered, pointing towards unfamiliar symbols written on either side of the man. She truly wanted to trace the lines with her finger, as if hoping it would help translate them for her. But she resisted. “I wonder what it says.”
