Tik tik tok on the wall , ticking all day and all night long

Tik tik tok it goes , with all my frowning and my ohs

Tik tik tok , scurry scamper scuttle

From old love that gave nothing but troubles

Tik tik tok , dispirited from an old lover , that gave nothing but daily double trouble

Tik tik tok it goes , while my toes hit the road , rushing away from struggles

Tik tik tok , he made me run away from irks he invented and invited

Yet I didn’t know how to rally myself steadily , obviously I was misguided

Tik tik tok , I blushed and gushed “I love you” , to me

Tik tik tok , I discovered that no one deserves love and affection but me

Tik tik tok ,with all my frowning and my ohs , I wish for nothing but a gleeful me

And I kept on running, for years , from love and lovers - merrily,
