fireworks

the weeping willow

wilts against

the night;

tears gleam

down like

sparkling wine.

shooting stars

reach for the sky,

only to fall down

to earth

with brethren

by their side.

sparklers are lit

by the moon,

side by side,

as fireflies

ring around

saturn's lights.

midas lends

a helping hand

to icarus,

heavenly flames

and golden eyes

to be their guide.

the big bang

rises high,

while gunshots

fire

out of sight.
