Unraveling—

A word of unfolding,

Of releasing,

Something that hints of being

Real, being true,

Being exposed.

I tangled the lies into my souls,

And now when the truth comes,

All the lies are unraveling from it.

I've lived with lies,

I've worn them like mask—

I learn to be the lies,

And now that they are unraveling,

Now that they are releasing the truth,

The pain,

Everything in my mind,

Stark clear—

I'm unraveling,

And I see you in me; behind my eyes, behind my shadows.

You unravelled once and you didn't want to face reality.

I unravelled now and I don't want to face who I've become.

So I hid myself from my own self—only in the same way you did.

Why am I not surprised?
