Leap of Faith

Be careful. Because that ledge is closer then you think. Her mother had told her that, her father had droned it into her. Teachers had tried to forlong the inevitable. Still she edged towards it, her heart thumping with each tiny step. Surely something amazing would happen. Her family always said, 'Do anything you set your mind too," and "Dream, anything is possible." Then why was taking this leap bad? Can't she do it if she really tried? All she needed to do was jump, and she would find out. It was scary, could she go through with it? Her folks had one thing right, she was closer to the ledge then she thought. Her toes curled over the edge, wind blew her hair back from her face. A leap of faith, becareful, the ledge is closer then you think, if you don't try you might miss your chance.
