Just A Nightmare

Empty bottles pour down,

A chemical stench filling

The once pure air

They crash into one another,

Shattering into opaque slivers

Reflected in their broken pieces, I see

Festering anxiety,

Lurking pain,

Pouring sorrow,

Looming death

The jagged bits slice

Into fragile, unsuspecting flesh,

And suddenly,

These horrors have become part of me

One and the same,

Destinies intertwined,

The way I'll be forced to live,

And eventually,

Die
