A glimpse inside

She should take comfort in the knowledge that she was not alone, though she could not. The second she was not distracted by a book, a television show or a friend she was forced into the darkness of her mind and the fear living within that plagued her unyieldingly. It was the most dangerous aspect of her disease, to make her feel isolated.
