Dark Prison

Like a priceless piece of Art she was a held,

no chance of escape, there no hope was felt.

She remained neglected fully insane

until untied she was bound in the chain.

Eyes full of fear her conscience slipped away

slowly it did but it still made her sway

Gain control of her soul, body and mind

was her heart’s desire to others blind.

All memories gone only thoughts remained

reflecting the pain, the guilt and the blame

her vision went black, she took a deep breath

smiling at herself, awaiting her death.

And then she was gone unable to say

the thoughts in her head forever they’d stay.
