Annual Moods

nature has its predictable moods

in which she reinvents herself

every few months

some care little for change

saying,"it is just this or that."

others say,"please why now?"

still more prefer to simply watch

while minding minor upsets

enjoying casual breezes

soft to the cheek

or a day of sunny hugs

before they turn and leave

when chilling winds trail behind

they remember
