Brainwashed Steeples

Churches filled to the brim

With stalwart hypocrites

Beliefs so strong,

Any others are undoubtedly wrong

Disagreements, asking questions

Signs of disbelief looked down upon

Difference in opinion is fine

Yet, people go to war,

Starting conflicts, inciting violence,

Hurting themselves and others,

All for a possible book of fables

Sometimes, I have to wonder

Have our people been brainwashed

By those shadowing steeples?
