Isle of Her Heart

Her glow slowly dims

Fades and slips in the deep

Where it’s drowned in the sea,

Vast humanity

It swallows her being

And sense of her worth

Her form and her beauty,

She vainly set forth

Afloat in the depths,

Isolated and cold

While lost, she discovers

An island of old

Departing the water

She rests on its shore

The isle of her heart

Where wealth’s evermore
