Pop the top
Off the pen
Let the ink
Stain the skin
Black as nightmares
Yet bright as stars
Shining with potential
To become something great
I’m going to admit,
A computer really doesn’t equate
Ink is black or red or green.
Red like blood or black like night,
And green like the money you need so desperately
And the money you probably will never see
Ink is broke like me, quite honestly
I write about the wealth of ink
The only kind of wealth I’ll ever see
Is the drip of the ink down my computer screen.
