The Truth About Social Media

Most of what you see is fake.

Fake happiness,

Fake bodies,

Fake reality.

People only post what they want you to see.

The number of likes,

The number of followers,

The number of comments,

All determining your worth.

Constantly comparing yourself to what you see.

Wishing you were one person,

While laughing at another.

A platform for bullying,

A platform for harassment,

There’s only so much a person can take.

But even after recognizing all of this,

Most people still can’t let it go.

Dependent on it,
