Christmas was coming

when I lost my job

well, I didn’t really lose it

I knew where it was

truth is that I quit

well, that’s not correct

I really was fired

for absconding with funds

punching the boss

spitting in coffee

taking personal calls

cussing at clerk

knocking fellow worker

out of his chair

didn’t meet deadline

(a line to the dead?)

was late six times

or could it be eight?

Went to the track
