The Forbidden Love

My neighbors dog is in love with my cat

But my cat is too snobby and thinks he's too fat

Yet the poor fellow keeps on insisting

Letdown after letdown and still keeps persisting

Why do you keep on trying she finally asked

Why keep insisting if you've had no luck in the past

The dog never answered and walked down the path

I guess that is one answer I will never have
