Daring My Dream

The night

my dream came,

I was transported

to the clouds.

And it was beautiful.

The full moon

just within my reach,

and the whole sky lit up

with stars,

and my cloud

glowing palely.

So I bent down

and took a bite,

and was hit

with a wave

of sour,

of bitter,

of spice.

But I chewed on,

for I knew

the sweetness would come.

And then it came:

big and bold and beautiful.

Overpowered and overthrown,

I knelt down,

and swallowed.

And looking up,

I saw the whole cloud,

its silver lining glinting,

daring me

to take another bite.
