Mourning

My bones are wary, I take my glasses off—

The world is cloudy, my mood is dreary

The truth hurts too much to be real.

It is not obvious, to those on the outside.

Cool sunbeams piercing through the window—

I kick back nonchalantly, and let out a silent crescendo

Without my cognizance, my lips are sealed

My breathing slow, my breath visible—

I sit in a cold light, turning to distraction.

The ones we had always turned to.

Through cracks in the door, creeks through, without a Thought; The darkness.

My lips forever cracked from the kiss I left you, when I said goodbye.

Mourning.
