A Freedom of Us

Freedom of mine is freedom to be

It the sun and the sand

And the sand and the sea

Grain by grain slipping through

Fingers without pain

The water is quiet

But still a silent riot

A lapping, growing choir

Strung together on intangible wire

Of those alike and not

Living life by the lot

On wing or foot

Paw or tail

Always without fail

Will we be

Together and free
