In a blink

In the blink of an eye

I knew I might die

But I jumped anyway

On this gorgeous day

With a gasp and a gulp

I’m in a sea full of pulp

Or maybe it’s algea

All I know is I can’t see

Why did I jump

Because I’m in a slump

Of internal pain

And I don’t feel the same

As I once did before

My mind is so sore

I have to change

Or at least rearrange

My life really quick

But life makes me sick

Just swim to the shore

Take on life just once more

So today I wont die

In the blink of an eye.
