I know it’s been a while,

A bit more than a year,

But I think about you often

And even shed a tear.

I remember the day so clearly

The last time I saw you,

I wasn’t sure if you could hear me,

Wasn’t sure what I should do.

I know I should’ve said it,

But I couldn’t come to terms,

Didn’t believe that you were leaving

Gone with no return.

If I could make a request,

Return if possible please,

Even for just one day,

Like I should have our last day,

I acted like I’d see you again,
