Because I’m trying to be myself

Because you hate that version of me

Because I’m a girl and wired wrong

Because you hate the things I love

Because I hid until now

Because I’m not doing what you want, but what I do

Because you say I remember things wrong

Because it’s all in my mind

Because you are unflawed

Because you are older, so that makes you wiser
