I whisper as I drop a rose

On your grave.

What I really mean is,

“I hope the troubles are gone,

And the pain.”

They said as they lowered,

What they really mean is,

“We’ll miss you and we hope,

You have rest.”

“Rest in Peace,”

I cry as I sit and watch

Your grave.

What I really mean is,

“Don’t return if possible,

It’s better there than here.”

I wouldn’t want you to come

Back to this hellish world,

Even if I got to see you Again.
