The wind is wailing

The streets are wet

Looking down from the window

There’s a girl conflicted

Two days ago this girl almost took her own life

Two days ago her life was nothing but broken pieces scattered across the floor

Two days ago she lost everything

But now she sits

She listens

She waits

Waiting for signs of the new day approaching

Today is different

She knows something she didn’t two days ago

She knows what she must do

God couldn’t put her here for no purpose
