Back and Forth

And I swing

Back and forth;

To my hearts delight.

And I swing

Back,

All the way to a time forgotten

And forth,

To a time not yet experienced

And so life goes,

Like as swing.

Thinking of the past

And the future

For not too long

Before returning to the middle,

The present,

The not so fun part

Where you are dizzy from the hight you have swung

And yet excited for the next time you will reach the top.
