It is only hair

Three times now I have grown my hair long and then cut it so I could send it to make wigs for for children...to me it is only hair. I am lucky to be able to say that as I have never been unwillingly bald, a shaven head to me is nothing. I have never lost it through illness, through cancer etc In fact every time I have cut my hair then shaven my head we have laughed (my daughter and I) it has made us happy, simply because I look funny bald.

But to a little boy or girl it is sadness, it can cause bullying and a lot of tears to be shed.

Now though, I cannot do it again because my hair has grown back grey and fine, so I am the one who is sad now. I am upset because I cannot help the children in that way any more.

So maybe if one of you read this you could instead take my place and do the same? Bring a smile to a child!
