Bring On The Water Works

The tears I cry

come in many different colors

because I cry for many different reasons

When I'm with my friends

howling with laughter

they are bright

a neon green or yellow

I want them to be seen

When I cry because someone

makes me mad

they are dark

they are the color of the sky

as a thunder storm rolls in

When I cry because I'm sad

because my heart is broken

because you gave up on me

they are red

because they hurt

and I can't hide them

I cry for many different reasons

but in the end

I feel better once the tears have come out
