Unstable

How did I catch myself in a battle I have no desire to fight?

In the midst, I lost reason to believe in what was right.

So I try to rise,

but I end up being someone I despise.

And with all these lies-

my reflection has become a disguise.

But you were there-

and I thought I had nothing to fear;

but how can I continue breathing,

if I lost sight of what I had pride in believing?
