Lethargic

Consume me,

with the dull ache of my bones

grinding as I reach out; never far enough

Eternal agony,

of the diminished muscles; I am my own burden

I see the world; the world never sees me

I let the blankets swallow me, chuckling at the absence of sight

I’m invisible to their eyes, distracted by my heavy breath

I sweat heavily and pant

Lethargy is me

I am lethargic
