As I have grown older

I thought I knew pain

I thought it hurt

To feel a broken wrist

To be cut from the middle school team

To be bullied

To be cheated on

Losing a loving mother

Stopped my breathing

All of these pains

Didn’t even come close

To the pain of losing my soul mate

That stop loving me

Yeah, I thought I knew pain

Until my world was torn apart

My universe destroyed

My sun extinguished

After that pain

There is only one left to endure
