Drabble me this. 100 words of fiction. Not 99, not 101, not 847. One hundred words precisely.
100 words of fiction. Not 99, not 101, not 847. One hundred words precisely. On choosing the winner, I couldn't care less about popularity and likes. I care about the storytelling. With a good side dish of solid grammar and following the rules of sticking to a hundred words.

Family Affairs

I come from a broken family. Well, "broken" in society's eyes. My father moved out of the house a few years back. Granted, my mother kicked him out after he left a mark on my little brother, Michael. Since then, the three of us have been as happy as can be. We're always there for one another, whether it's for a movie night or a ranting session. My mom and I shared the responsibility of raising Michael, and I thought we did a pretty good job. So when a CPS representative showed up on our doorstep, I couldn't imagine why.
