Once upon a field of snow

You'd whisper truths to me

That I'd need not know

Your hands interlaced

With a past lovers embrace

Fingertips as cold as ice

So I'll lay you down to rest

Baring my hand upon your chest

In an attempt to soothe your tired heart

Whilst the world around us falls apart

Amongst the wilting flowers we breathe

As the dawn chorus echoes freely

The birds singing their song

I'll look to you fear free

And we'll both sing along.
