Emperor of the Melody of Night

Behold the eclipse in his palms

The glorious night he becalms

Entreating the dusk with a splendid decree

Binding each mortal to his imperial melody

His creeping song sways through the sulking elms

Entrancing each earthling soul for whom it overwhelms

This monstrous emperor of all harmony

Makes all tuneless souls breathe in symmetry

There is no crevice in his voice of light

For this man is master of the eerie night

The lyrics on his broken lips kiss the twisted breeze

The ravens wings reflect his eyes and darkly stare & seize

His hands clasp the fading stars, fingers tipped in black

Midnight cloak around his shoulders lay across his diamond back

His love forbidding beauty twinkles in his bloodshot searching eyes

He could break up lovers on land with the splash of emerald envy skies

He's powerful and firm so resolute in his domain

Yet the strength of this monster hid much angst and pain

He sings to us in the broken hours of our slumbers

Gives us doubts and fills our hearts with fears and blunders

Don't let him make you turn your heart away in flight !
