a friend

don't forget the tissues

and I brought cake mix so I can bake a cake

for us to eat; you can lick the spoon

what do you want to do

we can dance to loud music

it doesn't have to matter this moment

or we can lie next to one another

and talk about them and

why and how and isn't this

the worst

or whatever you want- I don't mind because

even if I'm sorry and sad

even if I want to pretend it didn't happen

even if I just want to hug you

It happened

But I can try to make it better

I hope

sugar usually is not bad

that's not the cure all

almost nothing is but

something is better that nothing
