love affairs danced my spine?

No one told them my mind

was a ballroom.

I find no comfort in mindlessness.

From a resonant perceiving arose

my understanding.

Upon my awakening I became

deaf to all the silent advice.

Coming to awareness meant

leaving behind my baggage.

I had deceptively disguised you

as contentment.

A farewell, I must now forget.
