Coeur d’Alene

Driving in the car,

smell of rain,

beautiful landscape, 

cut from rock,

blanketed in trees,

Eagles fishing from the rivers,

sturgeon nosed canoes, 

the songs of my people,

hope,

resistance. 

We are still here.
