At First Blush

   The two chased each other through the sky for so long that they might have inspired the sun and moon. Who pursued whom? Without her, he felt there was not much to see. Although their orbit held for what seemed like an eternity, they had exchanged names only a couple of hours prior. Breathless and flushed, they now found their beloved painfully closer than ever before.

   They had joked their way to his apartment for hot coffee, knowing full well that neither of them indulged. His fingers fished through her hair in search of tender skin at the nape of her neck as soon as she cleared the door. She moans softly into his mouth met with his long craved touch. A drunken stare creeps across her face as she pulls back to gape at his lips. He drinks her in again as he had since the beginning. Another eternity would pass before she lost her place in their sky.

  Their clothes lie scattered, painting a trail down the hallway from the kitchen to the bedroom. Gooseflesh erupted under that tender touch as he praised her body like an effigy. She quivered, with each thrum of his fingers drawing a delighted moan. He fed ravenously on the pleasure that he could not help but build. Each stroke pulled them closer until all that stood between them was the desire that propelled them across the starless sky.
