My Student : Gone Too Soon

Many years ago I met you,

seeking to find your dreams to some locked

doors.

You continued to strive,

no matter what came your way,

and with all of my help,

God's doors opened to you.

And later I found out,

you graduated from high school,

with honors.

Earlier this year,

you were a freshman in college,

I was so proud of you,

to see your dreams finally coming true.

Then tradegedy struck, before we knew it,

you were gone too soon.

I didn't want it to be you,

I miss teaching you,

Even though you're gone

your dream still lives on.
